Privacy Policy

Nic IQ ("the App") is developed and operated by Jack Vande Walle ("we," "us," or "the Developer"), located in the United States. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles and how it is protected. By using Nic IQ, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information stored on your device

Everything you enter into Nic IQ is stored locally on your device using your device's on-device storage. This includes:

• Nicotine use entries (product type, amount in milligrams, date and time)
• Cravings you log, along with any tags or notes
• Quit-plan details, streaks, and estimated savings
• Flavor ratings, brands, and the prices and stores you record
• Your date of birth, used only to confirm you are of legal age
• Your settings and preferences

This information stays on your device. It is not transmitted to us, and we have no ability to access, view, or recover it. If you delete the App, or use the in-app reset option, this data is removed from your device.

2. Information handled by third parties

Nic IQ uses a small number of trusted services to function. We do not sell or rent your data to anyone.

• Apple (App Store & StoreKit): When you purchase a subscription, Apple processes the payment. We never see or store your payment details. Your use of the App Store is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
• RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and unlock Pro features. RevenueCat receives a randomly generated, anonymous identifier and information about your subscription status and transactions from Apple. It does not receive your name, email, or your in-app nicotine data. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

3. Notifications

If you enable reminders, Nic IQ schedules notifications locally on your device. These are generated on your device and are not sent through us or any external server. You can turn them off at any time in the App or in your device's Settings.

4. Health-related information

Nicotine-use information you enter may be considered sensitive. Because this information never leaves your device, it is protected by your device's own security. Nic IQ does not connect to Apple Health and does not read or write any Health data.

5. Analytics and advertising

Nic IQ does not include third-party advertising and does not use tracking for advertising purposes. We do not build profiles about you.

6. Children

Nic IQ is intended only for adults who are of legal age to purchase and use nicotine where they live, and is rated 17+. It is not directed to children. On first launch, the App asks for your date of birth to confirm eligibility, and this is stored only on your device.

7. Your choices and control

• You can delete individual entries within the App at any time.
• You can reset all App data using the in-app reset option.
• You can remove all local data by deleting the App from your device.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings.

8. Data security

Because your data is stored on your device rather than on our servers, its security depends primarily on your device's own protections, such as your passcode and encryption. We encourage you to keep your device secured and updated.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective" date above. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
